How can I learn who made a piece?

A listing can include a maker’s own production disclosure: made by them, designed by them, sourced vintage, or sourced craft supplies. The maker can explain their process and identify production partners and their contributions. These details are public when that listing is published.

Production disclosures are self-reported and are not a verified-maker badge. An unspecified disclosure does not tell you how the piece was made. Founder recognition and payment-account checks are separate from a review of the production process.

Read the item description, materials, measurements and process details, then use Ask the maker if you need clarification. Report a listing through its report link if its description appears misleading; a report asks staff to review it and does not automatically establish a violation.
